Finally done all the carving. It took me overnight to do all three. It still need one more pumpkin, I’ll just go tomorrow at pumpkin hills to grab one more pumpkin for hubby. =) Anyhow, Im very proud of the result, I think i did a good job carving all our pumpkins. The little ones tried to help but instead of helping they just made a mess specially the little guy, making it hard for me to finish the job, he only adds up. lol. He was very curious on what Im doing, he keeps on grabbing my carving tools and want to do it. Im afraid he might hurt himself, so I watched him closely when I carve. Well, we are almost ready for the Halloween. The kids already got their costumes and Halloween baskets for the trick or treating, and I got my costume ready also. I still need to get bigger candles so the pumpkins are lit up until dawn. Its gonna be an awesome night of trick or treating, have a safe night everyone!. =)
I cant believe how much he’d grown for the last 2 years since the first time he step foot on the land of milk and honey. He was so innocent, quite, sensitive, aloof, clings to me so tight, so afraid to lose sight of me. He was like this when he just got here. And now? he is so full of confidence, so determine, responsible, obedient, smart, very active, and a babbler. lol. Aint that funny? totally opposite from he used to be. He sure is my pride and joy. He makes me so proud everyday even just a little thing he does. I am so overjoyed and surprised of what he’d become. He used to be a Lolo’s boy, very spoiled to his grandma and grandpa and gets what he wants always… and now… look at him.. that spoiled little boy is gone. He knows that he cant have everything he wants, he learned how to wait when the right time comes and he waits patiently, thats my kindergartner, as a parent it is a big achievement and to think he is only 5! I believe, I deserve a pat on my back. He sure made my job easy. Now I could relax a bit and watch him grow to be a very fine boy.
yep! thats where we went yesterday to pick our pumpkins for this coming Halloween. =).
Swamp Fox Farms was just a few minutes away from our place, glad that hubby took a day off and spend some quality time with us. It was a very nice day, the sun was up, and the temperature was just right for fun field activities. We rode on a tractor trailer with full of hays (they call it hay ride. lol), it took us to the pumpkin patch, that is full of pumpkins! The kids had fun in the hay ride, it was our First Hay Ride, even for hubby! lol. I was having a little discomfort sitting on the hays because its poking on my butt. hehehe. Anyway.. we had a hard time choosing our pumpkins because there were so many to choose from! they got a huge pumpkin patch. I definitely want a big pumpkin, good thing they got a Radio Flyer wagon to carry all our goodies. The kids had fun choosing their pumpkins, Cayton cant decide which one to get! lol He keeps on jumping from one pumpkin to another. I guess he was bewildered whats this orange round thing is on the ground. hehehe..
After the pumpkin picking we played in the corn maze. Clayton was so fast, running to the maze and almost lost him. He seems like he knows what he is doing and where to go. JJ was leading the trail but the little guy is not following. He got his own trail. lol. Good thing plop plop was their to pick him up while i follow JJ before i lose him in the maze. We really had fun yesterday. after pumpkin picking we went to Hardees and got some of our favorite munchies to take home with us. And watch a movie afterward. We were so tired that we decided to carve our pumpkins later after JJ got home from school. Well.. here are some photos to share from yesterday. Click them for a bigger viewing.
Mr Sun is shining so brightly today, i hope he will not go hide away It seems a perfect day to go pumpkin picking at the pumpkin patch. But I bet its chilly outside, I could see my temp meter that its gonna be below 50F today. Better bring some jackets later coz it might drop to 30F. i sure am excited, its gonna be fun for the kids, picking out their own pumpkin and hope they get the chance to ride the hay ride. Hubby thinks its boring and just a waste of money, which is true! lol. but its for the kids right? Let them have all the fun while still young. Anyway I better wake them up before the day ends. This kind of day should be spent outdoor not indoor.
We got a new kitty! He is so pretty, and…. greedy! LoL. I say greedy because he eats all the crunchies outside thats supposed to be for the 2 cats (gray and ash gray) that has been staying on our yard for quite some time now. We don’t know where this yellow kitty came from, he just decided to stay on our porch and wants to come in the house. He must be crazy, our baby cat Jubal will just tear him apart, thats been watching him intently and ready to attack. My husband named this yellow kitty Morris, I dont know why.. but I want to named him Fluffy. lol. Because he is so fluffy, so cuddly, so gentle, and plump! hehe.. My kids loves him because he lets them pet him. This kitty must be used to with people coz he is not afraid, he would purr and brush his body on our legs asking for crunchies. Steven think he is a scumbag, trying to trick steven for food by looking so cute. lol isnt that so funny? haha..I bet he goes around house to house asking for goodies. I think he belongs to somebody coz he is very clean and looks like he’d been brush really good and so plump! lol. I hope he stay for a while and keep us company. I missed our old cat Meow meow that had been hanging on our porch for a long time, who follows us around like a dog. He disappeared last winter. We were hoping that he was ok and he would show up, but he didn’t which really broke our heart. Anyway.. this kitty Morris is very cute and.. PLUMP! hehehe….I sure like him. =)
≈ Comments Off on pizza night + disney classics = cozy night
Last night, was just me and the kids here in the house, hubby was out on a business trip and back later tonight. I was so bored last night that I decided to order a medium size supreme pizza at PizzaHut online and download a movie to go with our pizza.
Kids love the pizza and enjoyed the disney classic movies(Dumbo, Bambi, & Cinderella) that I downloaded. I hook my laptop on TV so that we have a wide screen to watch. I was surprised that JJ like classic movies specially Cinderella. He was jumping and laughing specially when the cat chased the mice around the house and he was sad when the bad sisters and step mother pick on cinderella. lol My little guy didnt care much, coz he was busy munching on his pizza and making a mess. =)
So last night turned out fun, even though its just us,
even though claybob made a mess on the carpet, throw his leftovers on the floor and squirt his apple juice box everywhere. lol. (katawa nalang ta kaysa magkonsume)
Anyhow, we missed hubby, kids missed their playtime last night but they got the chance to snuggle with mama on our bed. =)

Do you know what is PTU ? It stands for Paroxysmal Tonic Upgaze. Its a rare condition that characterized by episodes of sustained upward deviation of the eyes, while the chin is typically held low often with incomplete downward saccades (fast movement of an eye) on attempted downgaze(according to Mr Wiki). Hubby and I thought that our youngest has this condition, because he was showing all the signs and its symptoms.
A couple of weeks ago, we noticed that he suddenly became so quite and subdued. He was not responsive and active like he used to be. His behavior was a bit queer. Then we noticed something strange about the way he look. It was like blank, empty, a space in between, then I saw his eyes went up, rolled side to side and his chin down trying to looked at me straight. It got me so scared, and dont know what to do. I was devastated and felt myself weaken, to see my son in such state, it broke my heart to pieces. We took him right away to the nearest clinic and got a referral to a Pediatric Neurology clinic. We searched about his condition in the net and found out about this PTU. After we read about it, we were definite that thats what he got, coz of the symptoms his showing, the rolling of eyes, chin down in order to see, and shake his head afterward. Physicians don’t know what causes this illness, up to now its still a mystery according to what Ive read in the net. Study shows its benign, so in time he will get better. I was so glad to know that! Still I cant help myself to worry coz this might affect his development. Ive notice when he started having this condition, he stop responding and up to now he only knows the words that I taught him before this occur. I hope and pray that it will go away soon, I cant take it to see him like this. Its so heart breaking for a mother.
He had his EEG 2weeks ago, the clinic told me that the result is normal. This reminds me of what Ive read about PTU that the result could be negative. Right now.. hubby and I are not sure on what to do. The other day we took them to another Pediatric care at Westminster. Its kinda far from our place but hubby trusted the people there. its not that we dont trust the previous clinic, we just want to hear another opinion about my son’s case.
Right now my little guy is doing well, he is still having episodes like everyday, but not that often like the first week he got this. Im happy to see him running around the house, laughing and screaming , and playing with his big brother. Im watching him 24hrs a day, follow him around the house, make sure that he will not fall down and hit his head. I believe this is the toughest of all trials that we’ve encountered. I was not able to take it at first, I almost had a nervous breakdown, thank God i was able to control all my emotions, anxiety and depressions. Somehow I feel a bit relieve now, I know things will get better coz God is with us, He will take good care of us.
