Christmas is fast approaching, some of the radio stations are playing Christmas songs already. I remember when I was young, when the month of Ber starts, my dad would start playing Christmas Songs already in early morning to wake up our sleepy neighbors. It is a bit irritating sometimes, because its so loud, but so far nobody complains yet. I guess the loud music in the morning doesnt bother our neighbors that much. I remember my dad’s favorite to play is his ultimate Christmas collection that inspired by Jazz and saxophone music. It is pretty cool actually. Its very nice to the ears. My dad always like Jazz, he find them soothing to his ears. He said, if he only knows how to play a saxophone, he might purchase an amazing International Woodwind at WWBW and play it everyday. Thinking about his right now, make me miss the mornings in Philippines. How I wish I could go home this Holiday.
To all my friends and Family here in US!
from us.. d’Hemme’s 🙂
I hope you all had a wonderful feast!
Ours is not like the traditional Thanksgiving meal. Its because hubby is not fond of Turkey. He find Turkey meat so dry and rubbery to eat, so I just prepared Ham instead, some vegetable salad, and baked my first pumpkin pie. I also made some Lumpia Shanghai using Turkey ground meat, but I forgot to cooked it! My bad, I was so busy, that I literally forgot about it, so there was no Turkey on our platter tonight. But we sure had a wonderful dinner. You can see it on our faces.
Hubby and me on Thanksgiving 2012.
We have so many things to be Thankful for, mainly for being together this long(i love you baby! mwah!), and having 2 beautiful kids.
Thinking about the coming Holidays, makes me want to take a vacation in Philippines. The Holidays there is no other. You can really feel the spirit of Christmas. And the food is another thing to miss. I sure miss my hometown in Philippines. I wish I could pack my bag right now and get a plane ticket back home. Reminds me, I need a new traveling bag that is durable and strong enough to carry all my stuff. I also need a jack georges briefcase to keep my important stuff such as passports and other traveling documents, so it will not crumpled and get mix with my other stuff. Oh well, we are not ready to go home yet. Maybe next year, if God permits, that is if we have enough resources to cover us all.
