It’s been really cold for this past few weeks here in the East Coast. PA was one of the States that was affected by the Polar Vortex. The temperature was really low, and I believed it’s the coldest that I’ve experienced since I arrived here in US 6 years ago. We stayed indoor most of the time and only went out when we really need to. We had some snow storms like every week, but it was like any other snowy day here in the East Coast. Our State is pretty much prepared for this, that’s why we pay local tax for it. 😀 Anyhow, I assume you already know what is Polar Vortex, and as soon as the first one passed, my son and I took the opportunity to go outside to breath some fresh air and taste the snow for a few minutes even though it was only 9F. Somehow our body have adjusted with this temp and we were able to stay outside within 30mins. My little boy grabbed some snow right away and began playing like it’s sands. This time he was able to make his first snow angel for this year Winter season even though it was below 10F. Check him below, having so much fun!
Wow, it’s Friday already?! Time fly so fast that I didn’t even notice that it’s almost end of the week. I was listening to the radio this morning, checking out for local news and latest top 10 in the Billboard. Nothing that I am familiar with. It’s been ages since I last listen to the radio, so far, everything is all new to me. Music this days are so different that I can’t relate anymore. I guess I’ll just have to stick on my classic rock and roll with the vox effects which always reminds me of the good ole’ days. I sure miss those times.
This past weeks has been really cold here in the East Coast. Often times at night, the temperature is below zero and during the day it’s in one digit, making it feel so lazy to go out. Most of the time we stay indoor but if we really need to go out for groceries, I have no choice but to bundle up with thick layers and go to the grocery store. Good thing the grocery store is just a few minutes away.
But whenever we have some good sunny days that is in the 20-30F, I always take my little one out to get some fresh air and some fun. Photo below is one of those days. I took the little one to the mall for some window shopping and play some arcade games. We had lunch at the food court then afterward I let him ride at those ride machines where you put a quarters in order to go. He sure had so much fun. He wont mind me going to the dress store as long as he had his fun. Of course, we can’t stay long in the mall during the weekdays because we have to be home for the big brother to come home from school. Anyway, I hope the temperature would go up a bit so it won’t be too cold to go out and play. It’s quite depressing to stay indoor all the time. Stay at home mommies also need some break you know. 🙂 Snap-A-Day
The Holidays are finally over. I feel relieved cause now I can go back to my normal chores and daily workout. I wanted to go out and jog, but the temperature won’t allow me. It’s pretty cold outside, too cold for a jog. But in spite the below zero temperature, I still saw some people walking their dogs around the neighborhood. I wonder how can they stand this below zero temperature? It seems so cold to walk the dogs. I’ve noticed that the dogs didn’t complain about the temperature either, I guess they were probably wearing some dog bark collars to prevent them from barking.
Anyway, I hope the temperature will go up a little bit like on the freezing point, so it wont be too painful to go outside and breath some fresh air.
