We got a daily visitor alright, just when the bus drop the kids off from school, this little girl below knocks on our door wanting to play with the boys. I remember the first day she came to play, she was cautious looking around making sure that it’s safe. After a few minutes, she was running around playing everything in sight. I was surprise how kids adjusted right away with their environment. I was amuse by her because she always asked me if she could play this and play that with Clayton or Jian. I eventually let them do whatever they want, cause my kids dont get much playmates, and in a couple of years from we will be moving to another place that has no houses but business establishments. It’s not only her who visits my boys, there are other kids from the neighborhood as well. Seeing my kids having playmates around and having fun is always make me smile and feel glad that they get a bit of socialization,
This is my old baby. It has served me well for almost 4 years. A couple of weeks ago, it decided to quit working on me, I mean right in front of me when I just finished installing all my software needed for editing photos. It was so sudden that it shocked me for a bit caused I just recovered it twice! from a virus that attacked my system. Hubby saw everything and was trying to make me feel better by telling me to order another laptop at ToshibaDirect right away. In spite his words, I still feel sad about what happened, cause I love this laptop so dearly. It was like part of me. I wanted to take it to Phil and have it fix there. It probably just need a new Video Card, or something. I hope it can still be fix.
Anyway, while I was waiting for my new laptop that I ordered at ToshibaDirect, hubby let me used his unused Laptop. Isn’t he the sweetest? I have to change its settings to my settings and install all my software editors, in order for me to move around and get on with my business. He didnt mind me changing, as long as I will returned it to its original afterward. What I missed most of my old laptop is the finger print reader to log-in to Windows. Hubby’s laptop dont have that special spec, I have to type the password inorder to log in. Oh well, you cant have everything, right? I am happy that I got a laptop to work with. I think I will die without one! lol!
Lucky, hubby always have extra cash, if something happens like this. At this moment, I am using my new laptop and dont have to used his laptop anymore. I feel relieved and comfortable that I am finally using my Own. You know that feeling dont ya? Well, I will post about my new baby some other time. I just want to share what happened around here in our humble abode a couple of weeks ago, so see ya around!
This is what our sky looks like yesterday afternoon. This shot was taken from our window in the living room. It look so scarry isnt it? It seems like its going to form a Tornado from the looks of it. My kids and I cant help to stare at it, waiting for something to happen. The wind was blowing really hard like crazy, I thought something would snap later on. Thank God nothing like that happened. It just poured rain so heavily for a few minutes, with big thunder, and lightning. I went to the bedroom to resume what I was doing, and when I came back to the living room, I swear I saw something like a lightning bolt went through vertically from our window, then disappeared. It was so fast that you barely see it, but I saw it. I told my son who was sitting on the couch to pull the curtains together. I was like wow, it made me think if my eyes played tricks on me again, cause base on what Ive read, lightning wont pass the glass window, if it does, it will shatter the glass window. This event reminds me when I was a little girl, when it rains so hard, my dad will cover all our mirrors and windows. I asked him why, he said, ‘ so that lightning will not bounce in the house. I believed him when he said that, I was young then, but later on I found out it was only a Myth. 🙂
Anyhow, it really scares me, so I unplugged everything, and kept my kids away from any electronic stuff and from any metal object. I was glad that the storm passed right away. Hubby who was on the road that time called me that there were tornado sightings in where he’s at and in New York. I haven’t experience any tornados yet (knock on woods), but thinking of it is sure is scary. I was glad that hubby was okay and got home safe and sound.
